She Looks Innocent but....

I know she looks innocent but I am struggling dealing w/ all the talking back! As if it is okay to argue w/ your mother. I have to say she takes after her father in respects to thinking she is ALWAYS right.

He Almost Did It!!!

We have been talking to Eli since he started football abt. his crying. For those that don't know, it is not that he is crying b/c he is hurt-he cries b/c he didn't sac the QB, or he wasn't the one who made the play, or/and especially when he has to take a break to let the other kids have their turns to play. It can be very trying on a parents nerves-let me tell ya. Well, he did awesome today- they tied 6-6 and absolutely no crying during the whole game until the very end-when he realized that they tied and did not win! I have to just keep reminding myself and his Dad- he is 6 !

2 Dead in Helicopter Crash Into Wis. House
Helicopter crashes into house at Kenosha, Wis., killing 2 on aircraft; 5 in house uninjured
KENOSHA, Wis. September 21, 2008 (AP)

A helicopter crashed into the roof of a house early Sunday, killing two people in the aircraft, but five people in the house were uninjured, police reported.

The helicopter crashed around 5:30 a.m., about one mile south of the Kenosha Airport, police Sgt. Eric Larsen said.
Fog was reported in the area at the time, but there was no immediate indication if that played a role in the crash. Visibility at 5:30 a.m. was three-quarters of a mile to a mile, National Weather Service meteorologist Chris Franks said.
Gary Stielow, who lives about 100 yards from the crash site, said he woke up and heard the helicopter before it crashed.
"The engine just didn't sound right," Stielow told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "It was sputtering. It was at full power, but it was sputtering real bad. Then you just heard a loud boom."
Stielow said he ran outside and saw that the family in the house had made it out safely. The bodies of the two people killed in the crash were on the ground next to the helicopter's engine, which was on fire, Stielow said.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Tony Molinaro said the helicopter was a 2006 Robinson R-44 registered to Midwestern Air Services of Kenosha, which provides charter services and flight training.
Molinaro said the pilot didn't appear to have filed a flight plan. The airport's tower does not open until 7 a.m., so travel earlier than that is "at your own risk," said Corey Reed, operations supervisor at the airport.
A preliminary report on the crash will take about a week to complete, said Ed Malinowski, an air safety inspector for the National Transportation Safety Board. He said he didn't think the helicopter had a flight data recorder.
A phone listing for Midwestern Air Services could not immediately be found.

Aunt Bobette

This is one of my bestest friends from college Bobette. My kids call her Aunt Bobette and love her to pieces. They always have the best time with her. This is at the concert she took Emma to-you know the one she fell asleep at :).

Mike and his freakin foot

Mike has been back to work for 2 weeks now and had to go back to the doctor Weds. because he felt something moving on the bottom of his foot. He ended up having a bursa sac ( fluid filled) on the bottom of his foot. He got a steriod shot into the bottom of his foot and so far it seems to be helping-thanks God! If he still has trouble they will have to remove it-yuck!

Sarah Palin----Love her!!!!!

I got this in an email.....
Aug 2008 8:57 amAn Alaska note
This is something you probably will not see on the news....

When we were in Alaska in July and in Juneau where the govenor lives we heard this story.
Apparently, there was a real Good Ole Boy network and they had drivers and a private airplane for the corrupt politicians. When Sarah Palin took over as govenor, she defeated the Rep. encumbent, who was corrupt and costing Alaska thousands of dollars, she fired the "driver limo staff" sold their cars and plane and saved the state hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. She has an SUV (with 5 children she needs it) and a little VW Jetta which she drives to and from work and around Alaska herself. She was driving one day and was hit by another car, she was unhurt but the driver that ran into her was hurt. She stayed with him until the Emergency crews arrived. NOT so remarkable but....he did not know until the next day that she was the governor of the state. A taxi cab driver, a Democrat, begrudgingly said even he liked what she had done. The entire place was a buzz about this WOMAN R UNNING THE STATE SO WELL... and that was before she was on the radar for VP. She has an 80% approval rate.
This is the state closest to Russia, not so friendly at this time and she has been in Politics for 16 years.
NO experience! YOU judge......

Pass this along if you like...everyone needs to know a little more about this lady because main stream media will be on a rampage to trash her.

MY SON HAS A MOHAWK

Yes, it is true! I came home from work Friday to find my son w/ a mohawk. Picture to follow at a later date.

The Lunch Lady

I have shared this story w/ several friends but wanted to put it here so I would remember it. I told the kids that they could pick one day a week that they wanted to get hot lunch # 1 - just in case they would ever forget their lunch box they would be fine buying hot lunch and # 2 - I know they would eat just the ice cream and maybe one other thing off the hot lunch tray. Anyway.... the first week of school, Eli came home, it was the first day he decided to get hot lunch(chili cheese dog day-go figure) and I was excited to ask him how it went. I said "Eli, how was your lunch today?" He said "Mom, that lunch lady put a booger on my ice cream." After saying to him that I was sure that she would not do that-he was very insistent that she did and told me he wanted me to pack his lunch the rest of the year. We haven't figured out what exactly the "booger" was-can you think of anything it would be? Anyway he hasn't brought hot lunch since-but I am going to try and get him to this Fri. which is pizza day.

Leaving Nashville

We decided to leave Nashville on Sunday night and this is what happened abt. 45 min in trip. The kids slept the whole way-they were exhausted!!!

EMMA'S FIRST CONCERT

Emma was lucky enough to go to her first concert w/ Aunt Bobette on Sat. night. She saw Johnny Lang- don't worry I had never heard of him either. He is a jazz/blues singer- and he is actually very cute. Emma fell asleep on Bobette's lap after the 2nd song (ha!) but she said she had fun and loves spending time w/ Bobette.

BOBETTE

In Nashville, we also got to spend time w/ Bobette. We went swimming all day on Sunday and cooked out together. Thanks, Bob!!!

Sutton and Eli

This is Eli and Sutton playing together. Eli enjoyed being "Big" cousin to Sutton and in Sutton's words "Eli, funny!"

NASHVILLE STATE PARK

Here are a couple of pictures from the state park we went to in Nashville. We took a picnic and went on abt. a mile hike. It was beautiful and lots of fun!

THE MCWATERS

Over Labor Day weekend we went to visit my sister Shannon, Ryan, and Sutton. We had a great time going to the state park and just hanging out. Thanks, McWaters for letting us stay with you!
