Thursday on the bus ride home from school, Eli fell asleep underneath the seat on the school bus. Not surprising, going to school all day has been a big adjustment that Mom and Dad have been paying the price for almost every evening. Any suggestions ? I know ... put him to sleep earlier- he is in bed around 8:30 and does not usually go to sleep until after 10. Anybody have any legal drugs I can borrow?

MOVIE REVIEW
What Happens In Vegas---C. Diaz and A.Kucher (sp.?) Although very predictable, Mike and I both liked this movie. It is a good rental.

THE GOGGLES
I was going thru pictures and found this one of Emma in the pool w/ Dad and had to laugh b/c of these goggles. Emma and Eli both wanted to wear these BIG goggles everytime they went swimming at Mimi's and Papaw's. Aren't they hideous? Anyway if anyone finds any of these huge goggles that cover your whole face on clearance in the next few months pick me up a couple pairs and I'll pay ya back!

Last Indians Game of Season
My sister Trish got us a great gift for Christmas- half season tickets to the Indpls. Indians games. We had lots of fun and had awesome seats down the 3rd base line right in front of where the pitchers practice. This is at the last game, Eli with Uncle Scott and Papaw.

BOOK: IT'S ALL ABOUT HIM
My friend at work, Tera gave me this book to read and I am very excited. #1 I love biographies and #2 it's abt Allen Jackson and his wife. They are both Christians and so far it is really good!

NEEDED: MOM ADVICE
First and foremost....Emma got a big fat F on her 1st math test of 2nd grade. Of coarse I cried to Mike abt it- mostly b/c I feel guilty b/c I have been working during the week and did not even think abt helping her study since the 10 papers she brought home in math she had not one problem wrong on them. She seemed to think it was no big deal - therefore has been grounded for the 1st time for the whole weekend. I am trying not to be a pyscho mom and I honestly don't expect straight A's but a F .................. Did I do the right thing?
Second, my son cries too much. He cried @ least 10 times at his football game today. Mostly b/c he did not want to be out of the game ( they take 2 players out every few plays to let everyone play), maybe 3 times b/c this big huge 100 lb kid threw him down like a rag doll- it was scary! So those I can kind of understand but all the rest was driving us crazy. Mike left the game b/c he could not take it- I of coarse stayed to endure the rest of the crying fits. We are confused b/c for the past 4 weeks he has loved playing and could not get enough of it. What do I do? How do I get him to stop crying ALL the time. It seems once it starts he just gets worse and worse.

MOVIE REVIEW-COLLEGE ROAD TRIP
Honestly, I remember seeing the advertisement for this movie a long time ago but never really gave it a second thought. Emma watched it @ a birthday party and wanted us to watch it w/ her so we rented it - not really thinking we would like it - just trying to make my daughter happy and spend some QT together, but Mike and I really enjoyed watching it and get this ---IT WAS RATED G !!! Martin Lawrence is very entertaining- highly recommended.

MOVIE REVIEW-PENELOPE
When my neice and nephew were visiting we rented Penelope. It was a great movie to watch w/ the kids. Although the ending was somewhat predictable, it was still a good story w/ a happy ending, which I am a total sucker for. Highly recommended by me and my kids.

The Shack by William Paul Young
My friend Bobette came to visit a couple of weeks ago and told me abt. a book she had just read that "changed her life". So I went straight to the Christian book store and bought it.
I don't want to give too much away...but it is a very good read that I would also recommend it.
I have never really gotten into Christian fiction but...I really liked this book!
It is hard to put into words how the book affected me. It gave me a totally different outlook on how a relationship w/ God can and should be. It helps define the difference between Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and how they work in my life. I learned alot abt myself and what God wants our relationship to be like.
I gave my copy to my sister Shannon to read but would be glad to lend it out to whoever would like to borrow it next!!!

Emma @ Caribean Cove
Emma went to Caribean Cove last Thursday w/ her girl scout troop. They earned this by selling cookies(3rd highest sales in Hancock Co.) - pretty good for their first year. Anyway they got to swim and go down they slides for abt 5 hours while the moms that went sat and smothered, as it was @ least 200 degrees inside. They really had a great time. Pictured here w/ Emma are Sarah Greene, Tatum Biddle, and Emily OConnor.
